Albion Central School District had the highest enrollment among Orleans County school districts, welcoming 1,747 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.7% of them were girls, and 49.3% were boys.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 74.9% of Albion Central School District's total enrollment.

Among the five districts in Orleans County, Medina Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,396 students, while Holley Central School District welcomed 967 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

In the previous school year, Albion Central School District also had the highest number of students among Orleans County districts.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
