He expressed skepticism about the potential for unity and solutions, stating: "Tonight's address from President Trump should serve as a chance to unite the country and lay out real solutions to the challenges we face. But I'm not holding my breath."

Later that day, Morelle highlighted his participation in an event with Ukrainian Ambassador Oksana Markarova and fellow representatives Jason Crow and Donald Norcross.
