MCSO extends a warm welcome to one of our newest hires, Dr. Torrance Jones. Dr. Jones serves as the Sheriff’s Community Affairs Executive. In this role, he will help build, create, and maintain relationships with members of the Monroe County and Greater Rochester Community and advance the mission and goals of the MCSO. He will also research, develop, and implement programs in support of community-police relations. Inside the Jail Bureau, Dr. Jones helps manage faith-based volunteers and programming, and assists in creating programs and projects related to the successful reintegration of justice-involved individuals back into our community. Dr. Jones is a former Jail Bureau Chaplain through Good News Jail & Prison Ministry. Learn more about Dr. Jones on our “Behind the Badge with MCSO” Podcast this Friday.
