Assemblyman Steve Hawley is collaborating with the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program for its annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign. The program, which has been active since 1980 and is a project of the Adelphi University School of Social Work, offers information and emotional support to New Yorkers facing breast cancer.

The initiative urges individuals to focus on their breast health through three key actions: scheduling a mammogram, learning about local breast cancer programs, and seeking help from someone knowledgeable. This year's campaign motto is “When Survivors Unite, Hope Ignites.” The hotline is operated by volunteers who are breast cancer survivors themselves, providing both resources and support to callers.

For assistance, the program can be contacted at 800-877-8077 or online at breast-cancer.adelphi.edu.
