Hawley visits award-winning HP Hood plant in Batavia

Assemblyman Steve Hawley recently toured the HP Hood LLC facility in Batavia, highlighting local industry achievements and innovations. The visit took place on September 10, 2024, as part of a business tour. HP Hood's Batavia plant was recently named the 2024 Dairy Foods Plant of the Year.

The facility covers 458,000 square feet across 133 acres and is known for its advanced automation and processing equipment. Its focus on employee safety and community involvement, alongside technological advancements, distinguishes it within the dairy sector.

The Batavia plant plays a significant role in the region's economy and has been recognized for its strong employee safety programs. The facility includes extensive safety signage, regular training sessions, and an Incident Reporting & Investigation roadmap aimed at continuous improvement.
