Later that day, Morelle expressed his condolences upon learning about the passing of Congresswoman Nita Lowey. He acknowledged her contributions and leadership as a trailblazer in Congress: "Her decades of service...will be remembered here in NY." His message included sympathies for her family and loved ones.
