Joseph Morelle, a U.S. Congressman representing New York's 25th district, shared his thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. His statements touched upon political promises, an art competition, and government efficiency.

On March 12, 2025, Morelle referenced a past statement by former President Donald Trump from August 2024: "When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One." He contrasted this with Trump's later remarks in March 2025 as tariffs led to increased prices: "There will be a little disturbance, but we're okay with that." Morelle criticized these policies as favoring the wealthy.

Later the same day, Morelle announced the commencement of submissions for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. He expressed enthusiasm about this year's theme: "Why I Love Rochester." The winning artwork will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year to highlight local artistic talent.

On March 13, 2025, Morelle commented on government efficiency efforts. He cautioned against indiscriminate cuts to programs and services that citizens depend on: "Making the government more efficient is important, but blindly taking an axe to programs and services people rely on does nothing to reach that goal. It only serves to harms working families."
