Joseph Morelle, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 25th district, recently expressed his concerns through a series of tweets. Morelle has been in Congress since 2018, succeeding Louise Slaughter. His tweets reflect on various issues including foreign policy and domestic challenges under the Trump Administration.

On March 10, 2025, Morelle tweeted about the Trump Administration's decision to halt refugee processing and abandon Afghan allies. He stated: "In a move straight out of Project 2025, the Trump Administration has chosen to halt refugee processing and abandon our Afghan allies." He emphasized the danger faced by Afghans who assisted the United States against the Taliban.

Later that day, on Harriet Tubman Day, he paid tribute to Harriet Tubman's legacy in a tweet: "On #HarrietTubmanDay, we honor the legacy of a freedom fighter whose bravery reshaped history." Morelle highlighted her journey through Rochester and her lasting impact on justice.

On March 11, 2025, Morelle criticized the Trump Administration's workforce policies in another tweet: "Instead of taking real action to lower costs or keep our communities safe, the Trump Administration is gutting the workforce of those who provide care to our veterans..." He expressed support for Attorney General James amidst these developments.
