Joseph Morelle, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 25th district since 2018, has shared his views on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. Morelle, who succeeded Louise Slaughter in Congress and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1991 to 2018, continues to voice his opinions on public health, civil rights, and women's rights.

On March 7, 2025, Morelle expressed concern over the resurgence of measles outbreaks. He criticized the Trump Administration for its handling of vaccination policies by stating: "Measles outbreaks should be a relic of the 19th century, not a reality in 2025. It's horrifying to see the spread of this preventable disease while the Trump Administration continues to turn a blind eye and minimize the importance of safe, effective vaccinations."

Later that day, he commemorated an important historical event related to voting rights. Referring to the events at Edmund Pettus Bridge during Bloody Sunday, he tweeted: "60 years ago, hundreds marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in pursuit of their fundamental right to vote... Today, we walk in their footsteps, honoring their sacrifice and the ongoing fight for..."

On March 8, coinciding with International Women's Day, Morelle emphasized women's rights and reproductive freedom. He stated: "How can we honor women on this #InternationalWomensDay? By standing up for their fundamental rights—including making their own decisions about their own bodies." Morelle reiterated his commitment to protecting these freedoms.
