Joseph Morelle, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 25th district, has been vocal about his commitments and concerns through recent social media posts. On February 7, 2025, he addressed various topics ranging from industry growth to healthcare access and political opposition.

In a post dated February 7, 2025, Morelle expressed his dedication as the Founder and Co-Chair of the Optics and Photonics Caucus to enhancing the optics and photonics industries in the United States. He acknowledged companies in Rochester for their leadership roles in this sector and extended gratitude to AmeriCOM CEO Dave Shelton for sharing insights into their innovative work. "As Founder and Co-Chair of @OPCaucus, I'm committed to growing our nation's optics and photonics industries. It's a special honor to see companies in Rochester stepping up to carry this mantle."

Later that day, Morelle highlighted his appreciation for community health centers' efforts in ensuring access to quality healthcare services for vulnerable populations. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting these centers by providing necessary resources amidst emerging challenges. "I'm grateful for the work of our community health centers, who help ensure access to high-quality healthcare for those who need it most."

Additionally, Morelle criticized the Trump Administration's policies on February 7, 2025. He accused them of favoring wealthy elites over working-class Americans since taking office. He assured continued resistance against what he described as repeated abuses of power by the President's administration alongside his colleagues. "Since Day One, the Trump Administration has prioritized the wealthy elite over working class Americans."
