Joseph Morelle, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 25th district, recently shared his views on social media regarding retirement savings and veteran recognition. In the following tweets, Morelle touches on key issues including retirement plans, recognition of veterans, and support for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

In a tweet posted on March 28, 2025, Morelle expressed concerns about retirement security for Americans, stating: "Hardworking Americans have invested in their retirement plans their entire lives—we trust them to support us in our old age. President Trump's policies are taking our retirement away."

On March 29, 2025, Morelle shared his commitment to acknowledging Vietnam veterans, stating, "I'm honored to have hosted numerous Vietnam Veterans Pinning Ceremonies to recognize this generation of veterans for their service and sacrifice. If you know of a Vietnam War veteran who should be recognized, please reach out to my office." This message further extended an invitation for the community to assist in recognizing Vietnam War veterans.

Further emphasizing support for veterans, Morelle tweeted on the same day, "National Vietnam War Veterans Day reminds Americans to recognize the debt we owe our veterans. We cannot allow devastating cuts to the @DeptVetAffairs dishonor their service & sacrifice. I pledge to fight for their rights at home as they fought for ours abroad." This tweet highlighted the importance of maintaining adequate funding for veterans' services.
