66 percent of applicants to the Rochester Institute of Technology were admitted for fall 2018

At the Rochester Institute of Technology, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 68 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Rochester enrolled 16,463 students in fall 2018, including 13,513 in undergraduate and 2,950 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

47 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 47 percent are residents of other states. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (63 percent) and Asian (9 percent).

The school admitted 66 percent of the 19,335 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 22 percent enrolled.
