Assemblyman Steve Hawley has announced the annual Patriot Trip to Washington, D.C., scheduled for September 18 to 21, 2025. The excursion is open to local veterans and their families, offering a tour of the capital’s significant monuments and landmarks honoring military service members.

“This trip is an excellent opportunity to honor not only our local veterans but also those who served before them,” said Hawley. “I am incredibly excited to host this event for another year. We owe our veterans a deep level of gratitude for all they have sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy in this country, so being able to take them to our nation’s capital to see these historic landmarks is truly an honor.”

The itinerary includes visits to the WWII, Korean, and Vietnam War memorials, as well as Arlington National Cemetery. A visit to the White House is also being planned. Thanks to donations from the community, businesses, and organizations, participation costs are estimated to be between $450-$500 per person, inclusive of all expenses.

Registration by June 13 is mandatory for those interested in the White House tour to facilitate background checks. Registrations can be made by contacting Hawley’s office at 585-589-5780 or via email at hawleys@nyassembly.gov. Donations to support the event are welcome, with contributions payable to Patriot Trip and sent to PO Box 171, Albion, NY 14411.
