March is recognized as American Red Cross Month, highlighting the essential services provided by the Red Cross. Assemblyman Steve Hawley, representing Batavia, has announced his sponsorship of several blood drives in support of this cause. A total of seven blood drives will be held, with four scheduled in Genesee County and three in Orleans County.

To participate in these blood drives, individuals can schedule an appointment by visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

“Red Cross Month is an important time to honor the mission of saving lives through giving blood,” stated Hawley. “I encourage everyone who is able to take the time to give blood and make a lifesaving difference. Your generosity can provide hope and healing to patients in need.”
