Assemblyman Steve Hawley recently toured several businesses in Western New York, focusing on their contributions to the local economy. The visits included stops at Lapp Insulators, Craft Cannery, CooperVision, and Aluminum Injection Mold Co.
Lapp Insulators is a key player in manufacturing high-voltage insulators and operates in over 70 countries. At Craft Cannery, Hawley was guided by owner Paul Guglielmo through the facilities. Guglielmo started the business in 2016 and expanded it significantly over the following years.
CooperVision’s facility in Scottsville has undergone a significant expansion of 5,500 square feet and introduced new technology aimed at growth. The site is fully powered by renewable energy and holds a LEED Silver certification for its commitment to sustainability. This expansion has enhanced their production capacity for lenses like Biofinity Toric Multifocal.
Aluminum Injection Mold Co., based in LeRoy since 2011, specializes in aluminum molds and plastic injection molding solutions for various markets. Founded in 2002, the company has grown considerably due to its expertise in aluminum machining.
Hawley expressed pride in these businesses and anticipates their continued positive impact on the region's development.
