State Senator Jensen has expressed his disappointment with the recently concluded 2024 legislative session. According to Jensen, the session was characterized by a last-minute rush to pass legislation that had limited public input but significant implications for New Yorkers.

“Unsurprisingly, once again, the end of the legislative session has been defined by a mad dash to pass legislation that has had very limited public input and will have a tremendous impact on the daily lives of New Yorkers,” Jensen stated. He emphasized that much of the legislation could have been considered earlier, allowing for more comprehensive feedback from both parties and their constituents.

Jensen described the situation as "a missed opportunity" to focus on practical policies that would benefit residents. These include measures aimed at improving community safety, addressing affordability issues in the state, and finding solutions for New York's struggling healthcare infrastructure.
