He emphasized the significance of sponsoring cadets, commending their dedication and hard work at the prestigious academy. Hawley also highlighted the importance of young individuals choosing to serve their country, especially during a period of low recruitment numbers.

Speaking about the cadets and officers he met, Hawley noted, "It's clear to me this class truly exemplifies West Point's motto of 'Duty, Honor and Country.'" He extended his best wishes to the cadets for their time at West Point and anticipated the impact they would make in the future.

The tradition of sponsoring cadets from Western New York, such as Aidan Anderson, son of Mike and Korinne Anderson of Batavia, has been a privilege for Hawley. He reiterated his pride in supporting these individuals as they embark on their military careers at West Point.

The annual West Point Day in Albany serves as a platform to honor the commitment and achievements of cadets, reflecting the academy's legacy of producing exceptional leaders who have shaped the nation's history.
