79.1% of Monroe County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 757,332 citizens living in Monroe County in 2021, 79.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 599,304 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 286,660 were male, constituting 47.8%, and 312,644 were female, making up 52.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Monroe County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79%.
