City Council Committees Meeting - Day 1

Date and Time:

Feb. 8, 2023

3:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Description:

Committee meetings take place in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 30 Church Street, Room 302-A.

City Council committees generally meet on the 2nd Wednesday and Thursday of each month. The primary function of these committees is to review all proposed legislation and to recommend adoption, consideration, or rejection by the entire Council, either as written or with amendments.

City Council committees are scheduled to meet as follows:

Day 1 (2nd Wednesday of the Month):

Parks & Public Works (Willie Lightfoot - chair) – 3:30 p.m.

Neighborhood & Business Development (Michael Patterson - chair) –  4:00 p.m.

Day 2 (2nd Thursday of the Month):

Recreation & Human Services (LaShay Harris - chair) – 3:30 p.m.

Public Safety (Miguel Meléndez - chair) – 4:00 p.m.

Finance (Mitch Gruber - chair) - 4:30 p.m.

For the month of February, committee meetings for the Parks & Public Works Committee and the Neighborhood & Business Development Committee will take place on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively.

When necessary, the Committee of the Whole will convene to review legislation that falls within its purview.  

The Committee of the Whole will meet on Day 2 of the schedule when required.

Parking is available on street, in surrounding surface parking lots, and at the Sister Cities Garage, corner of Church and Fitzhugh Streets.
