Friday Feature: Happy Fall!
Looking for a nice fall stroll in a county park? Look no further than visiting today's Monroe County Parks #FridayFeature: Genesee Valley Park right in the city! This beautiful park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (known for designing Central Park, Cornell University campus, Highland Park, and many more landscapes) and features the intersection of the Genesee River, the Erie Canal, and Red Creek.
In fall, the numerous trees around the 800 acre park turn a variety of vibrant colors allowing for the perfect fall visit. The park connects visitors to major trail networks of Monroe County like the Genesee Valley Greenway and the 390 bike trail. The park offers numerous recreation activities as well including softball diamonds, soccer fields, golf courses, birdwatching, fishing, playground, and even a cricket pitch.
