The state Department of Transportation will close the Union Street (Route 259) onramp to eastbound I-490 in Chili beginning this Friday, Sept. 23 for a bridge repair project. The work is expected to last until December. There will be about two weeks where the eastbound onramps at both Exit 3 (Route 36 in Churchville) and Exit 4 (Route 259) will be closed. A posted detour directs motorists along Buffalo Road (Route 33) to the I-490 onramp in Gates. Please remember to take extra time if this is your regular commute.
