On Saturday, April 5, former Penfield High School standout Gage Wheaton’s current college team, the Niagara Purple Eagles, lost 9-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Quinnipiac Bobcats.

The game took place at John P. Bobo Field. This was their third matchup against the Bobcats this season.

The Purple Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at Mercyhurst Baseball Field against Mercyhurst Lakers.
