On Tuesday, March 25, former Penfield High School standout Gage Wheaton’s current college team, the Niagara Purple Eagles, won 14-9 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Mercyhurst Lakers.
The game took place at John P. Bobo Field. This was their first matchup against the Lakers this season.
The Purple Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at John P. Bobo Field against Saint Peter’s Peacocks.
