Joseph Morelle, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 25th district, has recently voiced his opinions on several issues through social media. His statements have addressed the Trump administration’s policies and his upcoming appearances in media discussions.
On May 12, 2025, Morelle criticized the Trump administration’s decision to terminate deportation protections for Afghan refugees. He expressed his disapproval by stating that “The Trump administration’s decision to end deportation protections for Afghans is unconscionable. In another tweet posted on May 13, 2025, Morelle announced his appearance on a morning news show to discuss recent actions taken by former President Trump. He stated: “Tomorrow morning around 5:40am I’ll be on @WayTooEarly with @alivitali to discuss Trump’s baseless firings of the Librarian of Congress and the Register of Copyrights.”
Later that day, he reminded followers of his imminent appearance on the same program with a brief update: “Join me live on @WayTooEarly with @alivitali in just a few minutes!”
