Joseph Morelle has served as the representative for New York’s 25th District since succeeding Louise Slaughter in 2018. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1991 to 2018. Born in Utica in 1957 and currently residing in Irondequoit, Morelle graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a bachelor’s degree in 1986.
