Joe Morelle, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 25th district, shared a series of posts on August 29, 2025, highlighting his ongoing work in Congress and policy priorities.
In an early post on August 29, Morelle encouraged constituents to follow his activities: “Stay up to date with the important work I’m doing in Congress by signing up for my weekly newsletter here: https://t.co/JxIFrvYOXI”.
Later that day, he addressed healthcare policy and constituent advocacy. On August 29, he wrote: “If you’re not one of Trump’s billionaire friends, they don’t care about you. Our number one priority must be advocating for our constituents; that’s why I’ve always fought to expand access to healthcare, not rip it away from those who need it most. https://t.co/j9SGZaIPPr”.
In a subsequent post on the same day, Morelle focused on education programs: “We need to champion the early learning programs that support our community’s children. We cannot allow cuts to these programs to threaten the pathways families have to set their kids up for success. https://t.co/tWA22TQBMX”.
Joseph Morelle has represented New York’s 25th District in Congress since replacing Louise Slaughter in 2018 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1991 to 2018. Born in Utica in 1957 and currently residing in Irondequoit, Morelle holds a BA from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
