Joseph Morelle, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 25th district since 2018, recently shared updates on local innovation and public broadcasting via his social media account.
On August 4, 2025, Morelle posted about a regional development initiative: “Today we celebrated the expansion of the APEX Accelerator—bringing more resources, funding & collaboration to innovators across our region. Grateful for @CountyExecBello’s leadership on an investment that strengthens Rochester’s role as a leader in optics, quantum, and defense.” The APEX Accelerator program aims to provide support and opportunities for local businesses in advanced technology sectors.
The following day, August 5, 2025, Morelle addressed concerns over federal support for public broadcasting: “The work @CPBmedia does educates and connects communities, especially in times of crisis. Republicans’ decision to force its closure is a loss for the American people and won’t do a thing to solve this country’s challenges.” He also shared an additional resource with his audience: “Read more: https://t.co/Z247lUlfxb”.
