Joseph Morelle, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 25th district, addressed key issues regarding national economic policy and healthcare in a series of posts on August 13, 2025.
In one post, Morelle questioned former President Donald Trump’s approach to lowering costs for American families, stating on August 13, “What happened to the promise Trump ran on to lower costs for American families? Instead, his reckless trade continues to drive up costs and make it even harder for people to make ends meet.”
Morelle also raised concerns about Medicaid funding in New York State. In another post from the same day, he wrote: “In NYS alone, 60,000 nursing home residents depend on Medicaid to pay for their care. Trump’s dangerous cuts to Medicaid put them at risk.”
Earlier that day, Morelle shared a link without additional commentary: “Read more: https://t.co/27IpHt0hqG”.
