Joe Morelle, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 25th district, has been vocal on social media about various issues. His recent tweets address topics ranging from local art competitions to national healthcare policies.

On March 22, 2025, Morelle announced that submissions are now open for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. “This year’s theme is: ‘Why I Love Rochester.’ The winning piece will be showcased in the United States Capitol for the next year, representing the artistic talents of our community.”

Later that day, Morelle criticized proposed cuts by the Trump Administration to healthcare services for children and seniors. He stated: “The Trump Administration’s proposed cuts to healthcare for children and seniors are bad enough. But to add insult to injury: they’re doing it so they can give massive tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires.” He urged continued opposition against these changes.

On March 23, 2025, Morelle reflected on the Affordable Care Act’s impact over the past fifteen years. He expressed concern over President Trump’s actions regarding this program: “15 years ago the Affordable Care Act was signed into law… Today, President Trump is taking a sledgehammer to this program to clear the way for more tax cuts for his.”
