Joseph Morelle, a congressman representing New York’s 25th District, has voiced his views on recent political issues through a series of tweets. Morelle, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and having a long tenure in politics since 1991, addressed various topics from public health concerns to economic policies.
On March 27, 2025, Morelle criticized the Trump Administration regarding vaccinations, stating, “Measles is a preventable threat. The Trump Administration is peddling lies—vaccines are critical to protecting communities across our nation from this disease. Don’t let bad politics hurt our children.”
Morelle also commented on Trump’s economic policies on the same day. He wrote, “Trump’s tariffs are reigniting inflation—making groceries, gas, and goods more expensive for everyday Americans. He wants to talk tough, but hardworking families will pay the price.”
Additionally, Morelle expressed his gratitude for the support of scientific research, tweeting, “Thanks to @AAUniversities for joining me in Washington to discuss our shared mission to keep our country at the forefront of scientific research and innovation. Proud to work alongside them supporting the groundbreaking research being done in communities like Rochester.”
