U.S. Congressman Joe Morelle, representing New York’s 25th district, posted a series of tweets on July 24, 2025, addressing his ongoing efforts to improve healthcare access and support retirement security for Americans.

In one tweet from July 24, Morelle shared information about his initiatives: “Read more about my efforts to support access to healthcare for our community: https://t.co/hN3SoRWuQs”.

Later the same day, he criticized recent Republican budget proposals and reiterated his commitment to protecting healthcare access: “No one should be denied life saving health care. The Republican budget only makes a strained system worse. I won’t stop fighting to protect access for our neighbors. https://t.co/lrB6eN1Ob2”.

In another post that evening, Morelle highlighted a meeting with USA Retirement focused on policies affecting older Americans: “I met with @usa_retirement to discuss our shared mission to support Americans as they age. Retirees deserve deserve safety, stability, and security, which is why I’m working to advance policies that ensure Social Security remains strong for generations to come. https://t.co/8dx2EyN0vF”.

Joseph Morelle has represented New York’s 25th district in Congress since 2018 after succeeding Louise Slaughter. He previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1991 until his election to Congress and was born in Utica in 1957 before moving to Irondequoit.
