Later the same day, he criticized recent Republican budget proposals and reiterated his commitment to protecting healthcare access: “No one should be denied life saving health care. In another post that evening, Morelle highlighted a meeting with USA Retirement focused on policies affecting older Americans: “I met with @usa_retirement to discuss our shared mission to support Americans as they age. Joseph Morelle has represented New York’s 25th district in Congress since 2018 after succeeding Louise Slaughter. He previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1991 until his election to Congress and was born in Utica in 1957 before moving to Irondequoit.
