U.S. Congressman Joe Morelle, representing New York’s 25th district, has recently highlighted his ongoing efforts to support agriculture and local industry in a series of posts on social media.
On August 24, 2025, Morelle wrote, “I’m proud to support agriculture in our community and across New York State. I met with local farmers to talk about the upcoming farm bill and hear their concerns. I’ll keep working as Vice Ranking Member of @AppropsDems to support the agricultural industry here in New York.”
Later that same day, he addressed political developments regarding electoral boundaries: “We’re going to do whatever we can to fight back against Trump’s redistricting plans—and we can’t do it with one hand tied behind our back.”
The following day, Morelle posted about his visit to a local business: “From their plant in Rochester, Nortera is keeping food on Americans’ tables and strengthening our community. Grateful to spend some time with their team to hear about their work and how we can better support them.”
Joseph Morelle has represented New York’s 25th district in Congress since 2018 after succeeding Louise Slaughter. Before joining Congress, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1991 until 2018. Born in Utica in 1957 and currently residing in Irondequoit, Morelle earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1986.
