Assemblyman Josh Jensen has announced the installation of a new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) air cylinder filling system at the Ridge Road Fire District. This equipment was funded by a $50,000 state grant that Jensen secured.
The SCBA air filling system is designed to enhance firefighter safety by allowing emergency responders to refill breathing tanks quickly and efficiently on site. The upgrade aims to improve the department’s readiness, training conditions, and emergency response capabilities.
Jensen expressed his commitment to supporting first responders, stating, “As both a legislator and son of a firefighter, I understand how crucial it is to equip our first responders with the tools they need to stay safe and protect our communities.” He added that he was proud to secure the funding for this advanced equipment which directly enhances firefighter safety and preparedness.
Chief Sean McGarry of the Ridge Road Fire District acknowledged Jensen’s support, saying, “We are incredibly grateful to Assemblyman Jensen for his continued support and recognition of the essential work our team does every day.” He emphasized that the new SCBA air filling system is a vital upgrade benefiting both personnel safety and community service.
