On Friday, Feb. 28, former Penfield High School standout Gage Wheaton’s current college team, the Niagara Purple Eagles, won 11-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Valparaiso Beacons.
The game took place at Emory G. Bauer Field. This was their first matchup against the Beacons this season.
The Purple Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. at Emory G. Bauer Field against Valparaiso Beacons.
